Harold Lloyd was a daring comic genius whose on-screen personality was a pair of horn‑rimmed glasses by the name of Harold. He wasn’t the tramp or the stoic, but the ambitious everyman, a daredevil who made audiences laugh while holding their breath during his famous thrill sequences and made nearly 200 films between 1914 and 1947.
