Joan Fontaine is one half of the only pair of siblings ever to both receive Academy Awards for Best Actress, she is the sister of last week’s Olivia de Havilland. But, Fontaine is also the only actress to ever receive an Academy Award for a role in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Apart from that she was a brilliant actress, a producer, a stage performer and a woman with standards.
