Mae West

At one point in her career, Mae West was the wealthiest citizen in the US – right after media publishing mogul William Randolph Hearst. Deservedly so – I might say. 

She was a genius screenwriter, had an incomparable stage presence, invented and implemented some of the oldest PR tricks in the world of Hollywood and showed all of us how it’s done. Considering that she conquered Hollywood at an age when most actresses already retire, one can only admire this lady. 

She was a feminist, an early advocator for LGBTQ+ rights, a savvy businesswoman and investor and simply knew how to enjoy all that life has to offer. A true role model for living an extraordinary, glamorous life.
